simulation and decision-support technologies to problems facing pharmaceutical

development. The company employs life scientists with expertise spanning
molecular biology to clinical medicine in fields related to metabolism,
inflammation, and immunology and engineers with backgrounds in whole-system
control dynamics, including chemical, electrical, mechanical, and aeronautical
engineering.
Entelos
is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator. The Systems Administrator will
contribute to the cluster monitoring project.
Responsibilities:
- Provide the first level of support for internal
clusters and provide expertise to customer support for external customer
cluster
- Define and cluster monitoring and management
elements and communicate to the team
- Formulate creative and innovative solutions to
network and server utilization
- Maintain awareness of the state of the art and
emerging issues in server clusters and networking
- Work with the Technology team to develop
production software operational features
- Develop and maintain the server and desktop
network
- Work closely with quality assurance engineers
and developers during rollout cycles
Skill
Requirements:
Must Haves:
- BA/BS degree with 4+ years of networking,
Linux/Unix administration
- Fluency in several of the following: C shell
Bourne shell, Oracle/SQL, Perl, Python, LSF, cluster monitoring and
management
- LINUX experience
- Ability to work with all levels of users
- Good analytical and logical reasoning
capabilities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with both Software Development
and QA Engineers
- Team player and flexible attitude
- Ability to work on multiple projects
concurrently
Desired:
- Microsoft networking, desktop and server
experience- Platform LSF software version 6.2
- Experience working with server hardware and
running hardware diagnostics
- Experience with Big Brother software, Cisco
networking equipment including wireless and VPN
- Experience with the following systems: Novell
SUSE- SLES, NAS, SAN, VERITAS backup software, ORACLE
- Proficient with performance monitoring and
tuning of cluster hardware
